‘You Got Scolded!’ Peter Doocy Hears It from Fox Host After Being Told off by DNC Attendee

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy attempted to speak with attendees of the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night, but it did not go well.

While other attendees have given Doocy a friendly audience this week, one man was quite cool toward the reporter. During Jesse Watters Primetime , host Jesse Watters cut to Doocy on the convention floor a few hours before Vice President Kamala Harris was to give her acceptance speech for the presidential nomination.

“The headliner tonight will be Vice President Harris,” Doocy noted. He then turned to a group of attendees who were seated and listening to a speech. There had been speculation about a major celebrity guest appearing later on, and shortly before Doocy’s live it, TMZ reported that Beyoncé would perform.

Here is how Doocy’s exchange went:

DOOCY: Excuse me. I don’t mean to interrupt. Do you guys know which celebrities are coming tonight?

WOMAN: We have the Chicks that are gonna be performing.

DOOCY: The Chicks.

WOMAN: And Pink.

DOOCY: Pink!

WOMAN: Pink is gonna be performing.

DOOCY: Is Beyoncé coming?

MAN: This is a serious convention. This is about issues. This is about issues. This is about America.

DOOCY: Are you gonna go backstage and tell them to tell the celebrities not to come out or should I?
You should tell them that.

MAN: That’s you. You should tell them that

DOOCY: So, you guys don’t want Beyoncé to come out?

MAN: Don’t do this.

DOOCY: No, no, no. Ok, apologies ok. Alright, alright. Ok. We’ll keep it going. We’ll keep it going. So, there is some debate about the effectiveness of celebrities down here with the Ohio delegation, Jesse.

WATTERS: [Laughs] You got scolded! That was fun to watch.

DOOCY: It’s what we’re here for.

WATTERS: I guess a lot of people enjoyed seeing that.

It was the second minor bump in the road at the convention for Doocy. On Wednesday, one convention worker gave him bad information on what the signs for vice presidential nominee Tim Walz would say.
