After a couple of great experiences in Tiger Town this spring and summer, a standout line prospect from the Sunshine State is planning to visit Clemson again this fall.

Edgewater High School (Orlando, Fla.) class of 2026 interior offensive lineman Ben Bankowitz will be back on campus to attend a game at Death Valley this season.

“I am definitely going to come up for game,” Bankowitz told The Clemson Insider. “I’m excited to get back to Clemson and be there in that amazing atmosphere.”

Bankowitz most recently traveled to Clemson in June, when he had the chance to work with offensive line coach Matt Luke at the Dabo Swinney Camp.

Bankowitz has been very impressed by Luke and can’t wait to catch up with him on his next trip to Clemson.

“I know Coach Luke is getting ready and game-planning for a big season,” Bankowitz said. “I am looking forward to seeing him this fall at some point on a gameday visit. I’m really looking forward to that. Coach Luke is such a great guy and a really good coach that I’ve learned a lot from.”

Prior to participating in the Swinney Camp, Bankowitz made an unofficial visit to Clemson in mid-April, marking his first time on campus.

The pair of visits to Clemson have only heightened his interest in Clemson, and he said receiving an offer from the Tigers moving forward “would be incredible.”

“I’ve always liked Clemson, even more so after my visit and their camp,” he added. “It’s a special place and it is a school that I am very high on. Getting an offer from Clemson would definitely make a huge impact in my recruiting process, as they would be one of my first choices to play college ball for. Clemson is one of the best programs in all of college football, and to be a part of that would be a blessing and very special.”

A 6-foot-3, 290-pound junior, Bankowitz has a couple of FBS offers under his belt from Cincinnati and FAU, while he is drawing interest from a bunch of power conference programs in addition to Clemson.

Some of the schools he’s been communicating with the most are Mississippi State, South Carolina, Missouri, Tennessee and Miami. Along with Clemson, he’s planning to visit schools like Mississippi State, South Carolina, Missouri, Florida State, Maryland and UCF during the upcoming season.

“Recruiting has been really good,” he said. “I’ve had an amazing recruiting season so far. I’ve been talking with tons of really great schools and I certainly appreciate all the love I’ve been receiving. I really enjoy the coaches I’ve talked with and the relationships I’ve developed throughout the recruiting process. It’s been awesome.”
