We do not use the USPS mail the same today as we did in the past, most of our today correspondence is email, text or online. If the USPS really wanted to save money, they would only deliver mail to homeowners on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and to businesses on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This would save a lot of labor cost, the problem is the USPS cannot loose money, and cannot cut jobs, so the USA citizens must pick up the tab.
