    How do domestic rabbits thrive in the wild?

    Rabbits are at the bottom of the food chain. The dumb ones don’t survive long enough to breed. In my area, coyotes, hawks and a family of bald eagles keep the population in check. Just keep in mind that the average life expectancy of a rabbit in the wild is less than one year.
