I still remember driving on a somewhat busy road over 45 years ago. The memory is still implanted in my brain. There was a boy with a smile from ear to ear. I could tell that he suffered from an Asperger's syndrome problem. But that didn't stop his enviable smile nor his full out downhill running ability I saw no one in his sight he continued his run and that's when I noticed the public transportation bus stopping and letting off a man with his blue collar lunch pale pants n hand. No doubt in my mind that was his DAD. The boys whole world was being dropped off like so many day's prior. And hopefully so many more days in the future. The boys whole world was right there before my eyes to see. That had such a positive impact on me. I usually tell this story to friends and family around Father's Day. But seeing Gus react the way he did has commanded me to let others know of the impact I had been privileged to see 45 yrs ago and a few days ago once again. Dads need to know your impact.
