Cool Weather in Southern California Today, Warming Trend Begins Sunday

Southern California is experiencing one last day of cooler temperatures today, as an unseasonably cold upper low passes through Northern California. While rain has been reported as far south as the Bay Area, the Los Angeles region will remain dry, with temperatures near to slightly below normal at the coast and 10-15 degrees below normal inland.

A warming trend is expected to begin on Sunday, as high pressure builds and offshore winds develop. Temperatures are forecasted to rise by 2 to 6 degrees each day, returning to near-normal levels by Monday. Gusty northwest winds are anticipated this evening across southwestern Santa Barbara County, potentially prompting a Wind Advisory.
