The Philadelphia Eagles' 2024 NFL preseason is now in the rearview which means wins and loses matter now.

We a lot of great football from this year's Eagles rookie class and overall promising play from both sides of the ball.

However, there are still questions that the Eagles need to answer before they take a trip to Brazil for their Week 1 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

Will Howie Make a Move for a Pass Rusher?

One of the biggest concerns watching the Eagles preseason was their pass rush, especially Nolan Smith , who was far from consistent.

Smith dressed and played in every preseason game, which isn't necessarily a promising sign that the Eagles have a whole lot of faith in the former 2023 first round pick.

He played only 16% of defensive snaps in his rookie season last fall and is expected to have a heavier workload in Year 2. He even increased his weight by about seven pounds so that body could handle more hits, now weighing 245 pounds.

However, if the Eagles are still not too confident in his ability to step up this season, Howie Roseman might make a move for a pass rusher next week once roster cuts are final.

Is Cooper DeJean Ready to Start in the NFL?

Cooper DeJean made his NFL preseason debut on Saturday after being sidelined with a hamstring injury for the majority of fall camp.

And while the Eagles' rookie made some good plays, he looked rusty for the most part.

Once DeJean is 100% healthy, the nickel spot is supposed to be his and the Eagles plan to move Quinyon Mitchell to outside corner. But that might not be the right move. It was just one game to criticize DeJean so it's not really fair, but Mitchell could still be the answer in the slot for the Birds since he had an excellent preseason covering the slot for DeJean.

Is James Bradberry Worth Keeping Over Tristin McCollum?

Whether or not James Bradberry makes the Eagles' 53-man roster is still up in the air, but for now, all signs point toward him securing a spot.

That means Trisitin McCollum might not have job.

Bradberry allegedly had a solid training camp but he didn't show that in the preseason games. Still, the Eagles chose not to dress him for the preseason finale along with the rest of the starters.

As for McCollum, he not only had a great camp but he made a strong case for himself by putting on a show in each preseason game.

If Bradberry makes the final roster over McCollum it has to be because of a business decision that Howie sees as trade bait and not because he outperformed him.
