Tom Brady Squeezes Championship 'Juice' into Knicks?

Although the New York Knicks didn't make the 2024 Eastern Conference Finals, such a finish doesn't negate the championship buzz surrounding the Jalen Brunson-led team. During a live recording of the Roommates podcast, NFL legend Tom Brady provided a rare compliment for a New York team.

Brady talked about the difficulty of making it to the Super Bowl during his NFL career, prompting the NFL legend to compare such a feat to the NBA. Understanding how to record an entertaining podcast and please the crowd, Brunson and Josh Hart immediately shut down such a comparison at this point in their career.

"We don't know what that it is yet," Brunson told Brady as Hart ad-libbed his teammate's retort.

Either playing to the crowd or genuinely believing in the Knicks, Brady responded, "I have a feeling you're going to get there."

For Brady to share such a sentiment with any New York team showcases growth for Brady. Brady won seven Super Bowls in his decorated NFL career. Although he won seven, the NFL legend also lost three. However, the New York Giants were two of the three teams Brady lost to in the Super Bowls.

Without the Giant's quarterback and the multiple stout defenses, Brady would have an astonishing nine Super Bowl rings, almost covering his two hands.

Perhaps the Knicks being an NBA franchise makes it easier to stomach for Brady. Or maybe the charming personalities of Brunson and Hart lured Brady into uncharted territory.

Although the Knicks lost to the Indiana Pacers at Madison Square Garden in blowout fashion to end their Eastern Conference 2024 postseason run, Leon Rose loaded up the team with a formidable roster.

Nonetheless, the hype around the Knicks franchise is as loud and confident as it has been in years. Brady is one of the most brilliant NFL minds of all time. If any of his IQ bleeds into the NBA, perhaps he's not wrong about the Knicks' championship future.
