On days over 90 degrees, I turn on a mister at the end of my chicken run. The wind usually blows the mist back onto/into the run, cooling them off. I hang it about 8ft off the ground, so the mist doesn't soak the ground at all. You can find these misters for like $4 in the garden section of walmart (seasonal), or sometimes at home depot. They are basically just a screw on end cap for a hose with a 1/4" tube that has a mister nozzle at the end. It helps a lot.
