This is SO super sad, and unbelievable! She was in a hospital and died!! Probably was a snafu and someone missed signs she was in trouble, and unfortunately died. The hospital appears to have covered this up. That in and of itself is criminal!! How dare they tell the family she left AMA!!! Why in the world else was the family not notified?? And if she didn’t list a family member, the hospital should’ve notified the police and news media to help identify next of kin. Somebody screwed up big time!!! The poor family! The patient too! Sounds very suspicious. They need to investigate this.

the hospital is def at fault. I think they drug their feet as she had left the hospital against medical advice anyway. honestly, here in Indy I myself had a bad experience like that. I checked myself into the hospital as I knew my oxygen level was low. after a few days, I wasn't 100%, but as this was like my 3rd trip to a hospital within the year. I got tired. yes, just because I felt better, maybe shouldn't hv left yet, but in a way also felt the hospital was just trying to keep me to charge medicare and my supplemental ins company. I left ama, but although I let one of the aides wheel me out in a wheelchair, she told me that she was advised to Not let me leave! then, also as she stated she was following orders, called security to stop me from leaving! I shud still sue them. security just laughed and shook their heads and agreed with me that they couldn't stop me. sry for ranting on someone else's story.
