Over the last few years, the Philadelphia Eagles have seen several underrated players save their season at different times.

Whether it was Boston Scott's heroics in key games against the New York Giants or Greg Ward helping out a practice-squad-led team to the NFC East title, the Eagles have seen many heroes come and go to new teams over the last few months.

In the case of Ward and Scott, both players have recently been released by their new teams over the last couple of days.

Ward had bounced around the Eagles' active roster and practice squad over the last few seasons after helping lead the team to the division title in 2019. He caught a game-winning touchdown pass against the Washington Commanders during the team's four-game win streak that year.

In Scott's case, the "Giant Killer" has helped become a quality third-down back overall while scoring over half the touchdowns against Big Blue in New York.

While Ward and Scott could be quality role players overall for the Eagles to bring back to the fold, it's still unlikely overall that both will be reunited with the team they became heroes under.

And it means their NFL careers could be in jeopardy as well.
