WENDY Williams looked healthy as she resurfaced for the first time in a year at a wellness store to shop for brain fog products, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.

Wendy , 60, was seen publicly for the first time since May of 2023 visiting a Newark herbal supplement shop, African Bio Mineral Cell Food , on Sunday, August 18 with her son Kevin Hunter Jr .

It was also Kevin Jr’s 24th birthday.

The store’s manager exclusively told The U.S. Sun that he was there when the former queen of daytime TV came into the store for a visit.

They explained that her son, Kevin, and the owner have been friends for some time.

“When they came, they didnt ask for specific things, and they were talking about health and wellness,” the manager of African explained.

“Wendy did mention how she wanted to detox more herself.”

“It was like she wanted to learn more about the products before she jumped in, so we are expecting to have her back so we can go more in-depth. This was kind of an icebreaker,” the manager continued of the visit.

“She did mention she is dealing with brain fog as well, and that she wanted to get more mental clarity.

“She also said she is dealing with stress, because whose not battling that, but she didnt go in much more detail on that.”

“She also mentioned she wanted to work on her circulation,” they added.

They said that it seemed Wendy had gotten care elsewhere and was looking into other avenues of treatment.

“Whatever type of care she was getting, which she didn’t describe- it seems like she’s definitely looking into other stuff and wanting to learn more,” they added.

As far as how the famous daytime talk show host seemed, the manager said she was “very alert.”

“I expected her to be not as sharp- but I was very impressed.

“But then there was a moment when she looked off while we were talking and I wasn’t sure if she was still with us, but other than that she was very alert.

Wendy Williams Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, Aphasia & Frontotemporal Dementia Diagnoses

As The U.S. Sun exclusively reported, Wendy Williams was diagnosed with alcohol-related brain damage in 2019 during a rehab stint in Florida.

An insider explained that a brain scan was done as part of Wendy’s rehab stay in Delray Beach.

A neurologist sat down with the star, her son, and her then-husband, Kevin Hunter Sr .

“The doctor explained to them that Wendy was suffering from alcohol-related brain damage.

“They told her that her alcohol abuse had done permanent damage to the layers in her brain,” the insider said.

“She was warned then and there that if she continued to drink, the damage would only get worse.”

In that meeting, they gave Wendy a devastating prognosis.

The doctors at the rehab foretold of the eventual decline of Wendy’s cognitive abilities, which have become apparent to those who have come in contact with the star in recent years.

“They told her that if she kept drinking she would continue to grow more forgetful, that she wouldn’t remember people’s names, and eventually, she could forget who people even were,” the source said.

After a comment call was sent to Wendy’s team, they released a statement saying Wendy had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia in 2023.

“The decision to share this news was difficult and made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy, but to raise awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal dementia and support the thousands of others facing similar circumstances,” the statement read.

“We described how we heal the system, and she was asking questions that let me know she was understanding and processing,” they shared.

The former TV host also said she has been focusing on her eating lately and getting more greens in.

Wendy was gifted an array of products during the visit.

“The owner is so considerate, he gave her some skincare items, some hair products, some soaps and shampoos, because it’s hard to find high-quality products like that.

“She also was given general blood support herbs, as like a starter kit. And sea moss because we always give sea moss- thats our base formula,” they continued.

The manager said her son had given them a call the night before the visit that they would be in.

Wendy has not been seen publicly since vanishing in May of 2023 when she was placed in a treatment facility after a medical emergency , which The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed.

Since then, Lifetime put out a docuseries in February of 2024, titled Where is Wendy Williams?

In the series and subsequent interviews, Wendy’s family and friends claimed to not know where the star was and said that they had to wait for phone calls from her as they did not have any way of contacting her themselves.

WHERE WAS WENDY?

In May 2023, after being hospitalized with a health emergency, Wendy entered a facility to treat “cognitive issues” as she battled alcohol addiction .

Around that time her son Kevin Jr told The U.S. Sun that he did not know where she was and that he could only get calls from his mom and could not call her.

After Lifetime’s docuseries was released in February of this year, Wendy’s sister Wanda broke her silence on her “heartbreaking” struggles, telling People a court -appointed legal guardian, Sabrina Morrissey , was the only person who had total access to her.

In June 2024, Wendy’s best friend Regina Schell revealed she believes Wendy had been forced into silence after not hearing from her in over a year.

A source previously exclusively told the U.S. Sun earlier this summer, “Wendy has really only spoken to her sister, father, and her son Little Kev, since she’s been away since May of last year and they have to wait for Wendy to call them.”

SOMETHING’S NOT RIGHT

In June, in her first ever long form interview, Wendy’s best friend, Regina, who lived with her throughout the summer of 2022, questioned what was going on with her famous pal.

“I want people to know that Wendy is a real person, and this is not some karma is a b***h thing,” Regina said about her best friend and former talk show host for The Wendy Williams Show .

“Talking is Wendy’s life, her whole claim to fame is talking, and I don’t think she would be this quiet unless she was forced to be quiet,” the star’s friend of over 44 years said.

Meanwhile, another insider close to Wendy said that the star had been very vocal about her guardianship before disappearing and how she found it to be problematic .

“There is no way in hell that she would not have responded to that Lifetime documentary, with all her family members appearing in it,” an insider previously claimed.

“Wendy would have had something to say about all of that, without a doubt.”

WENDY’S GUARDIANSHIP

In early 2022 Wells Fargo, Wendy’s bank locked the star out of all of her accounts and filed a petition to hold a guardianship hearing for her.

Wendy’s attorney filed a claim against Wells Fargo alleging the bank was in “possession of several million dollars’ worth of funds” belonging to the TV host, and that she had been denied access to her funds for weeks.

In the filing by Wendy’s attorney at the time, her lawyer said that the star’s Wells Fargo financial advisor had advised the bank that Wendy “was of unsound mind,” and as a result, Wells Fargo had denied her access to her accounts.

The bank referenced its authority to “pause or reject instructions for a proposed transaction, pending judicial or administrative remedies, should they suspect financial exploitation, dementia, or undue influence.”

The bank then moved to petition the court for a guardianship for Wendy.

Wendy was placed in a court-appointed guardianship under attorney Sabrina Morrissey , in May of 2022, as The U.S. Sun had previously exclusively revealed.

Wendy lost her eponymous daytime talk show in June of 2022 after being absent for the entirety of the final season.
