    OBITUARY: Tammy Jean Sale Campbell

    Tammy Jean Sale Campbell, 58, of Rockingham, surrounded by her family, completed her earthly journey on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024.

    Tammy was born Oct. 14, 1965 in Richmond County, North Carolina, a daughter of the Barbara Bennett Sale and the late James Sale.

    She was a graduate of Richmond Senior High School, Class of 1984, and attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She worked with Roses, K-Mart and Walmart and later as a homemaker. Spending time with her grandchildren, being outdoors, walks on the beach, snowy days and camping trips with her husband Tommy brought great joy to her life.

    In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Alice Miller, Jimmy Sale, Paul Sale and Justin Sale.

    She is survived by her husband of 39 years, William T. “Tommy” Campbell Jr.; children, Ashley Sullivan (Jamie) and Matthew Campbell; grandchildren, Kaine Campbell, Addison Sullivan, Kayonnie Solomon and Bristol Sullivan; her mother, Barbara Sale; and siblings, Trusia Parker, Gina Davis, Jamie Sale and Shane Sale.

    A gathering of friends and family will be from 2–4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024 in the fellowship hall of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 U.S. Hwy 1 N, Rockingham, NC 28379; or to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 1247 Sandhill Road, Rockingham, NC 28379.
