    Yuba City man shoots roommate after heated argument, police say

    (FOX40.COM) — A man sustained a gunshot wound after a heated argument with his roommate Sunday, according to the Yuba City Police Department.

    Around 10 a.m., YCPD said it received several calls about a man who was shot in the 700 block of Chestnut Avenue.

    When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the left leg. Police said he was transported to Adventist Rideout Hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

    According to YCPD, the suspect fired two shots but only hit the victim once. The circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation, and anyone with information about the incident can call the Yuba City Police Department at (530) 822-4661.
