    Fair recognizes outstanding senior citizens

    Hundreds of ribbons were awarded in contests and judging at the Carver County Fair this year. The fair board also recognized outstanding Carver County senior citizens Fred Bleedorn and Patricia Wittrock

    Fred Bleedorn has displayed an unparalleled dedication in serving his community and uplifting those around him through his involvement at St. Joseph Catholic Church and devoting his time and efforts to the Veterans Memorial in Mayer. In addition, Fred has generously contributed his time to the housing board at Westview Acres. His volunteer work in this capacity demonstrates his commitment to creating a supportive and welcoming community for residents, showcasing his dedication to improving the lives of others through thoughtful and proactive initiatives.

    His selfless contributions and unwavering commitment to serving others have made a significant impact on our community and his legacy will undoubtedly inspire generations to come.

    Patricia Wittrock has shared her time and talent in actively volunteering with many important non-profit organizations across the Chaska community for many years. Examples of her volunteer efforts include RAK, the Chaska Historical Society, the Lodge at the Chaska Community Center, her church Pax Christi, School District 112, Auburn Homes & Services, and her Homeowner’s Association. Patricia is willing to fill whatever role and in any way she can to help advance the cause or mission of the organization.

    Secondly, Patricia Wittrock has tremendous dedication to education and the development of young children through her support of Guardian Angels School. She also has supported the Chaska Community Fun, Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, Ridgeview Medical Center, Bountiful Basket Food Shelf, Launch Ministry, and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Patricia is an unflinching advocate for community and a champion for a quality education for every child. She has demonstrated repeatedly a passion for what community means and how meaningful action can make a difference.
