Calling “Intro: Wall to Wall” a “massive moment of reflection,” while sitting across from Jungwoo , Yuta , Doyoung , Johnny , Haechan , Jaehyun , and Mark Lee , Brooke asked the group what it felt like writing the track, and asked them to elaborate on what the song means to them.

“I’m really glad you pointed this out,” Mark Lee began, noting no one else had made that distinction. “But I think the song is really special because it’s the first track of the entire album, and I feel like it is the perfect opening track to the start of WALK .”

" WALK itself is an album that we felt was very different even from the start of the whole process, it felt like a new chapter… So in the lyrics,” of it’s opening track, “it really talks about how we really want to take responsibility of what we’ve done so far in our music and to really show that we’ve grown, but also there’s a lot more ahead. And I think our emotions, and our vocals, and our rapping really kind of conveyed that. It’s a song we’re really proud of, and it’s the perfect song to listen to before listening to the title track, ‘Walk.’”

Noting the difference in meaning of their title track “Walk” in Korean versus English, Jaehyun explained, “it’s a Korean word that mean slightly tilted or slightly different.”

"Since our debut we always went with a neo kind of concept, where its always challenging and kinda new," he continued. "So the way we walked until now, this song… means that were going to walk… in a different way, in our own styles. And through the song, lyrics, and performance it’s all in one."

The group went on to talk about everything from choreography, the evolution of their music, what they hope people get out of their music, conceptualizing music videos, and so much more. To catch it all, check out the entire interview above.
