Article says QPS the largest seafood wholesaler in the Gulf Coast agreed to forfeit 1M and pay a fine of 150K. Where is the 1M coming from they are going to forfeit? They ran this scheme from 2002 until recent years. I understand this isn’t considered a “major” crime ring in the grand scheme of things, but these are the types of criminals I despise. They are greedy, money hungry individuals that scam their local communities and customer’s while filling their pockets for years and years. They only get a measly 150K fine??!! That’s hardly going to cause a dent or a hiccup in their financial portfolios! Hopefully their loyal customer’s will take their business elsewhere forcing them to close their doors permanently!
