    I see a lot of comments about " why not underground " Well these are high voltage lines, much much higher load then what is coming into your home. To put that kind of voltage underground will roughly triple the cost. Very dangerous. That is why they are put on tall towers instead of 49 -60 foot wooden poles. Back in the 70's wasn't it decided by government at the time that living close to or under such lines increases your chances of cancer? And once again, taking away living plant life that is the #1way to reverse global warming. Making it harder to farm means less food for us. I'd rather we be an exporters than importers for food
