5 bad ideas that will cost you more in the end. I’ve been doing remodeling for 30 years, mostly for rental units. The landlord will almost always charge you for returning the countertops back to original condition, except for the cleaning. Also a contractor will charge you more for the removal of contact paper covered countertops.
