Beach Video Shows Klay Thompson Doing a Very Klay Thing

In a league filled with flashy personalities, Dallas Mavericks guard Klay Thompson stands out for his laidback demeanor.

During his time with the Golden State Warriors, Thompson regularly shared glimpses of his chill lifestyle, including cruising around the Bay Area on his boat.

On the court, the four-time champion rarely gets rattled, even during high-octane moments and clutch situations. He's known to step up in pressure-packed games, thus giving birth to the "Game 6 Klay" legend.

But off-the-court stories about Thompson are also equally iconic. Exhibit A: He was spotted with a random family on a beach, as shown in a TikTok video posted a day ago.

"Klay Thompson causally hanging out with our family and giving him a beer," wrote the uploader in the caption.

If that's not a quintessential Klay Thompson moment, then nothing is.

It's unclear if the newly acquired Mavericks sniper was with someone, but it appeared in the video that he was on the beach by himself. He was all smiles after being a handed a beer and spent some time playing with a young boy.

"This dude needs a family already lol," one fan joked on TikTok.

The 34-year-old Thompson’s unassuming attitude even in the face of adversity, such as his two consecutive season-ending injuries, has earned him respect across the NBA.

After a tough season, wherein he lost his starting spot, and his emotional goodbye with the Warriors, a fresh start with the Mavericks could revitalize Thompson into having another All-Star campaign.
