    Ingredients:

    • 4 chicken breast (about 2 lbs), or sliced chicken tenders
    • 1 cup buttermilk
    • 1 tsp hot sauce
    • 2 large eggs beaten
    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 1/2 tsp salt
    • 3/4 tsp pepper
    • 1/2 Tbl smoked paprika
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    • 1/2 tsp onion powder
    • 1/8 tsp baking powder
    • Peanut or canola oil for frying

    Buffalo Sauce:

    • 1/2 cup hot sauce
    • 6 tablespoons salted butter
    • 1-2 teaspoons seasoned salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    • 1/4 cup honey

    Optional:

    • blue cheese or ranch dressing, for serving
    • sliced green onions, or serving

    For the Crispy Chicken:

Slice each chicken breast into four tenders and place them in a bowl with the buttermilk and hot sauce. Let the chicken marinate for 30 minutes.

Place the eggs in one bowl and combine the flour and spices in a separate bowl.

Take each piece of chicken from the buttermilk and coat it in the flour mixture. Next, dip it into the egg mixture, followed by another coat in the flour mixture.

Gently shake off any excess flour and place the chicken on a baking sheet. Repeat the process for all the chicken pieces.

In a dutch oven, heat oil (about three inches deep) over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F. Fry the chicken in small batches for 5-7 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.

For the buffalo sauce, add the hot sauce, butter, seasoned salt, and cayenne pepper into a small saucepan and stir until melted and combined. Remove from heat and stir in honey.

Coat the chicken tenders in the sauce and serve immediately with blue cheese or ranch dressing and sliced green onions if desired. Enjoy!
