Colorado Made Major Accusation About Oregon Following Blowout Loss In 2023

    By J.C. Shelton,

    2024-08-28

Colorado's 42-6 loss to Oregon last season resulted in an inquiry by the Buffaloes staff to the Pac-12 regarding a potential hack into the program's practice film, according to a report by A.J. Perez at Front Office Sports .

The scene was set entering the matchup. Colorado came into the game 3-0, ranked No. 19 and at the peak of its 2023 hype. The Ducks, No. 10 at the time, were also undefeated and looked like the top team in the conference.

Deion Sanders' Buffaloes had a chance to truly leave their mark with a win in Eugene, but Oregon overpowered Colorado in just about every way imaginable. For example, the Ducks put up 522 yards of offense compared to 199 from the Buffaloes.

According to the report, Sanders and Colorado leaders reached out to the Pac-12 to file a complaint, which included Oregon, about a breach with their practice film. The conference took the accusation seriously and asked the program for additional information and whether the school wanted to pursue an investigation.

The report also states that Catapult, the video system used by Colorado, reviewed the matter and found no evidence of a breach last fall. The Buffaloes decided to back off any pursuit of an investigation

Oregon's athletic department responded to the allegation in a statement to Front Office Sports.

“We are unaware of any information that provides any credibility to this claim and see no reason to comment further,” a spokesperson said.

Oregon and Colorado won't meet in anytime soon following the Buffaloes exit to the Big-12 and the Ducks' move to the Big Ten. Colorado will open the season against North Dakota State on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET (ESPN), while Oregon opens against Idaho at 7:30 p.m. ET (Big Ten) on Saturday.

He should just get out of coaching. He wants instant success and that’s not how it works . First pick a school that kids want to go to and play and Colorado is not one of them .

Dion Sander is really bad for collage football, his action will catch up with him. Can’t wait until he moves on.
