Monster Jam is coming to Gas South Arena in Duluth, Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st.

If you haven't been, this is a true, family event. The kids just eat this stuff up.

From the organizers, "Monster Jam drivers are trained, world-class male and female athletes who have mastered not only the physical strength and mental stamina needed to compete, but the vital dexterity to control 12,000-pound machines capable of doing backflips, vertical two-wheel skills and racing at speeds up to 70 miles-per-hour to produce jaw-dropping, live motorsports action seen around the world."

Here's a few pointers on how to best enjoy this year's Monster Jam.

    • Get to the event early to attend the Monster Jam Pit Party. Fans can see the massive trucks up close, meet their favorite drivers and crews, get autographs, and take pictures. Activities include the Sand Box play area, inflatable slides, Spin Master remote control truck course, coloring and temporary tattoo station, and photo ops, including the chance to take a photo with the Series trophy.
    • Become a Super Fan and purchase the Pit Party Early Access Pass to beat the crowds to the pit
    • If you don't attend the Pit Party, at least get to the event an hour early. Featured festivities include competition previews, driver interviews, giveaways, opening ceremonies and power rush truck introductions.
    • Stay at the Westin Gas South, within walking distance of the area to make this a fun, weekend, family event
