On Thursday, August 29th, the streaming service Peacock will be premiering a documentary on the life of child actor Gary Coleman. It will have several of the people that were close to him talking about about the beloved child star including his co-star Todd Bridges. Gary's ex-wife will also be in the program.

Gary's first role on television was on Medical Center. He soon would be a guest on “The Jefferson's” and had a memorable role on the popular show “Good Times”. His breakout hit was of course as Arnold Jackson on “Diffrent Strokes”. The network soon knew they had a huge hit and star on their hands and even during the filming of the show, he was also doing several made for television movies.

Dion Mial a long time friend of Gary's talks about Gary's highs and lows and the things he went through. He had a rare kidney disease that made him have to do dialisys. Mial talks about some of the memoribilia of Gary's that he has as well as some awards.

Gary's adoptive parents controlled his finances and when his child acting career ended, the money was mostly gone. He sued them and won $1.3 million but by the time he won the case his adoptive parents were broke. Gary had made $100k per episode for an annual salary of about $2.5 million a year for a total of around $18 million and he was left with nothing.

There are still many that feel his ex-wife Shannon Price had something to do with his passing. Her disturbing 911 call when he fell and hurt his head was disturbing to listen to as she literally did nothing because she couldn't stand the site of blood. The incident has created an outrage among friends and fans alike.

Price was arrested for domestic violence in 2009 and in some 2010 documents talked about by Inside Edition, Coleman got a restraining order on Price which was granted but he then never served her. The courts also refused to make her the executor of his estate.
