What time does the transfer window close? Deadline day in Premier League and major leagues around the world

From regrettable panic purchases to managers grumpily insisting they are overjoyed with unaltered squads, it's almost that time of year again as transfer windows around the world near a close.
Chelsea and Manchester United have been among the most active of clubs, as usual, and there could be more business concerning the two Premier League giants before the English window closes. Liverpool may also hope to conclude some last-minute business, while Barcelona are looking for inexpensive signings prior to the end of La Liga's registration window.
Saudi Arabian clubs are also expected to spend big before their window closes a little later in the year. While the Pro League's lavish investments of 2023 have not quite been matched this year, it's anticipated that a few significant arrivals could still happen between now and early October.
When does the spending have to temporarily stop around Europe and the world? The Sporting News sizes up the market.
The summer transfer window in England opened on June 14, 2024 and will close on August 30, 2024 at 11 p.m. local time.
Clubs can send a deal sheet to the Premier League to prove a transfer agreement has been reached, giving the clubs involved an extra two hours to complete the paperwork.
Twenty-five man squad lists of players aged over 21 must be submitted after the window has closed, with a minimum of eight to be homegrown, which means they were 21 or older on January 1, 2024 and spent a total of three years registered to an English or Welsh club before the end of the season in which they turned 21.
Coaches can later add an unlimited number of under-21 players (born on or after January 1 2003).
France
Ligue 1 and the rest of French football opened their transfer window on June 10.
The Ligue 1 summer window also closes on August 30 at 11 p.m local time.
Spain, Germany, Italy
The transfer windows in other major European leagues, including La Liga, the Bundesliga and Serie A opened on July 1.
In Spain, deadline day is August 30; in Italy, it's August 31; and in Germany, the window is open until September 2.
