Kendra Frazer was found dead on the first day of this year's Burning Man Festival .

The 39-year-old woman was found unresponsive at Black Rock City on Sunday . Emergency services were unable to revive her and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Kendra's cause of death is yet to be confirmed, but foul play is not expected .

Kendra was a regular visitor to the Burning Man Festival and described herself as a "Black Rock Ranger" online, seemingly referencing the festival's site in the Nevada desert which is known as Black Rock City. Kendra owned an Etsy shop which sold resin jewelry and psychedelic souvenirs.

Kendra was no stranger to Burning Man and has shared snaps on Facebook of herself attending the festival in 2021, 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014. She had previously attended with her boyfriend, Sean Lupher.

Sean and Kendra shared a home just south of Lake Washington, according to the Daily Mail . The Pershing County Sheriff's Office has said Kendra's death is under investigation until a cause of death can be determined in an autopsy.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the decedent," Jerry Allen with the Pershing County Sheriff said in a statement. "This is the first reported death on the playa this year and unfortunately it has happened on day one."

Burning Man Festival is offering support to those who need it, including 24/7 peer support services and a 24/7 crisis support team. In a statement, the organizers said: "It is with heavy hearts that Burning Man Project confirms the death of a participant in Black Rock City in Nevada's Black Rock Desert.

"Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family and friends affected by this loss. The participant has been identified by the Pershing County Sheriff's Office."

The statement continued: "The safety and well-being of our staff and community are paramount. We are cooperating fully with local authorities as they investigate this incident. The Pershing County Sheriff’s office investigates all deaths that occur in its jurisdiction. Out of respect for the privacy of the grieving family, we will not be providing further details at this time."
