Well, I’m glad I saved this Article. I was JUST contacted by my BANK via email saying “Your personal info was compromised in a data breach”. (I didn’t click on ANYTHING. I called them back directly.) … Sadly, it’s true. I was on the phone with my Bank & “Credit Journey” (per my Bank) for over an hour. I was given actions I can take to try to protect myself, and my Social Security Number, BUT I was also told, that even when I do EVERYTHING CORRECTLY to protect myself, I WILL have to deal with this probably for the rest of my life. … Worst timing ever, since when I “lock down” my Credit Info, when I start looking for an apt (as I have to do very soon because I’m moving across America), when Apt Mgt has to run my Credit Report, I’ll have to take LOCK DOWN OFF, then put it BACK ON, every single time. It could be 1,2, or all 3 Credit Bureaus, EACH to be contacted separately. … I was stressed about moving before. Now, I beyond stressed, & I can’t deal with all of this insanity. 🤯😭🤦🏻‍♀️
