Simone Biles’ Sister Drops Major Hint About Her Competing in 2028 Olympics

Simone Biles’ husband Jonathan Owens may just be the 11-time Olympic medalist’s biggest fan, but a close second is her sister Adria.

The 27-year-old won three gold medals and one silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics to cement her legacy as the most-decorated gymnast of all-time (she has 11 Olympic medals and 30 World Championship medals), and her sister seems to believe she has nothing left to prove in the sport.

During a recent appearance on “The Chris Osmond Show,” Adria hinted that the 2024 Games in Paris may have been her sister’s Olympic swan song despite all of the speculation that Simone could potentially compete in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles at the age of 31.

“You’re trying to enjoy the moment (in Paris) but like every beam routine she did, I was like, ‘This is about to be the last one,’” Adria said . “It was kind of hard for me to come to terms with because I love watching my sister compete. I’m like, ‘Man, I’m not going to ever see her compete again.’”

If 2024 was Simone’s final Olympic appearance, she has plenty to look forward to in her post-competition days.

She and her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, are in the final stages of building their new home, and she’s one of the faces of the Power of She collective by clothing company Athleta.

“I hope [it was her final Olympics] because I know how much she loves her husband and loves watching him play and I hope she can just enjoy that and take a break that she deserves,” Adria added. “…And if she’s not done, then I guess I’ll be back in the stands.”

Of course, Simone going out with one last hurrah in her home country and potentially tying or breaking Larisa Latynina’s record for the most gold medals by a female gymnast (nine) may be a bit too enticing for her to pass up.
