One McPherson County town is declaring a water emergency and telling citizens to refrain from any outside watering. According to a post on its Facebook page, the City of Galva is having problems with city wells.

The Thursday morning post on their Facebook page says that wells 1 and 2 are down, and that the city is working on fixing the issue. In the meantime, no outside watering is allowed.

The City of Galva had been under water saving watering restrictions prior to this morning.  Those restrictions were:

    - Odd-numbered addresses water on odd-numbered days.
    - Even-numbered addresses water on even-numbered days.
    - People living north of the railroad tracks are restricted to lawn watering from 7-10 a.m. on their days to water.
    - People south of the railroad tracks are restricted to lawn watering from 9 p.m. to midnight on their days to water

The City of Galva will post on Facebook when those water restrictions return.
