Fans Say New Capri Sun Design Is ‘the Most Shocking’ Update In ‘the History of Food and Beverages’

Capri Sun is debuting a brand new look with adults in mind this time, and fans have plenty of conflicting thoughts about the change.

In a new Instagram post shared on Wednesday, Aug. 28, food blog Snackolator unveiled the drink brand's switch in packaging, as it is releasing a bottle form of the flavored beverages versus its iconic, traditional silver pouch.

"Capri Sun is coming for the adults with new bottles that will be arriving in stores soon!" the social media upload revealed, alongside a photo of what the product will look like.

Continuing to provide details on what's to come, the post added, "Each bottle is 12oz and won't need you to have to find the spot to poke the straw in and hope that it doesn't come shooting back at you!"

The release is said to come in three well-known flavors at the time of launch: Fruit Punch, Strawberry Kiwi, and Pacific Cooler.

In the comment section, fans and longtime drinkers of the beverage had plenty of thoughts to share on the new containers, varying from those excited for it, to those who are convinced the drinks "simply won’t hit the same without the straw."

"Imma get a large yellow straw," another suggested, seemingly in an attempt to keep things classic.

"I just want it to taste like when I was a kid in 90s an 2000s," a third admitted, while a fourth mourned, "It can’t be 💔💔."

More reactions like "I just cried ‼️‼️‼️‼️," "This doesn’t sit well with my spirit," and "rip nostalgia" continued to roll in—but not all the reactions were negative.

Some, actually, expressed they can't wait to get their hands on the release.

"All my dreams are coming true 😍😂," one person joked, as another chimed in with "I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for those!"

"Finally! I've been drinking the pouch like I'm 6 still...." someone else added, with an additional Instagrammer confirming, "yall trippin im buying cases and cases of these."

Meanwhile, a shocked X (formerly Twitter) user went as far as to say, "I feel like it’s not an exaggeration to say this is one of the most shocking product changes in the history of food & beverage."

Though there's no word yet on an official date shoppers can expect the new Capri Sun bottles to start hitting store shelves, the post noted that they'd be "coming soon."
