Chase Becotte of Operation Sports investigated a new update in EA Sports College Football 2025 and he found that several notable teams have moved up in the ranking of "toughest places to play."

It was no surprise that Death Valley in Baton Rouge, home of the LSU Tigers, 102,000 strong and the largest stadium in the SEC has been elevated to number one.

Penn State and Ohio State earned the next two spots, each vaulting several notches in the rankings. Beaver Stadium holds 106,572 passionate Nittany Lion fans; a white-out at the famed venue is an awe-inspiring site. The fact that PSU is 17-4 at home over the last three years doesn't hurt either.

The Buckeyes were undefeated at home last year and lost a single home contest in 2021 and 2022; the only teams to beat them in Columbus are Michigan and Oregon over that stretch.

The Horseshoe packs in 102,780 loud, knowledgeable and passionate fans.

Modest little Autzen Stadium graces the list at #9, elevated from #11 previously. The Ducks home venue on Martin Luther King Boulevard holds just 54,000 chock full, but acoustics and enthusiasm make up the difference: Opposing coaches swear it's the loudest stadium they've ever played in.

At number 10 in EA's rating is The Big House, the venerated home of the Michigan Wolverines, an edifice the Ducks hope to conquer on November 2nd. It's the largest stadium in the United States at 107,601, last renovated in 2010. The Wolverines once packed in over 115,000 for a 2013 game with Notre Dame.

Crowd noise is one thing, but what makes Michigan Stadium triply intimidating is the Michigan defense, led by twin towers at defensive tackle Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant.

Four of the toughest places to play are from the Big Ten, another indication that the next decade in the conference is likely to be epic.
