According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN , Lonnie Walker IV, a former guard for the Los Angeles Lakers , has signed with the Boston Celtics.

Walker, who stands at 6-foot-4, has agreed to an Exhibit 10 training camp contract with Boston. This signing comes as the Celtics have one available spot on their 15-man roster, while three players currently occupy the two-way contract slots.

As an Exhibit 10 signing, Walker has the potential to transition his contract into a two-way deal, which could later be upgraded to a standard roster agreement. However, there is also a chance he could be waived by the team. If he joins the Celtics' G League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws, and stays with them for at least 60 days, he could earn a bonus of up to $77,500.

Walker was originally drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in 2018 and spent his first four seasons with the team. He joined the Lakers on a veteran's minimum deal for the 2022-23 season. Despite a crowded roster following the Lakers' mid-season trades, Walker made a notable impact during the playoffs, particularly in a crucial Game 4 against the Golden State Warriors.

During his time with the Lakers, Walker played in 56 games, averaging 11.7 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. In the playoffs, his role was reduced, but he still contributed effectively when called upon.

After his stint with the Lakers, Walker signed a one-year minimum contract with the Brooklyn Nets, where he averaged 9.7 points per game. The Celtics had previously shown interest in him during the last season's trade deadline, indicating their desire to add his skills to their roster.

This move not only reshapes Walker's career but also adds depth to the Celtics as they prepare for the upcoming season.
