Mississippi authorities are investigating after an abandoned truck was found stuck in a Mississippi creek.

The Brookhaven Daily Leader reports that deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a potential incident Thursday morning on Zetus Road involving a blue Ford F-150 found in McCall Creek, just north of the former low-water bridge.

The vehicle appeared to have driven down from Zetus Road onto a gravel bar, crossed the creek narrowly missing steel pylons, and came to a stop on another gravel bar.

Upon investigation, officials found no one in the vehicle or in the creek’s clear waters. Litter and the remnants of a campfire were discovered near the truck, which was located on private property.

Due to concerns about a possible crime and safety issues, deputies decided to tow the vehicle after being unable to contact the landowner.

A passerby, equipped with a bulldozer, assisted in recovering the abandoned truck, which was successfully pulled from the creek. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the case.

Thank God he/she didn’t hit the steel pylons.

We used to go swimming at low water bridge as a child. Most of my Dads family still live in that area.
