This Little Shih Tzu Is Searching For Love

    2024-08-31

(MA) Get ready to meet a fluffy little Shih Tzu who is ready to move into your place as soon as possible. Clover recently came into the Scituate Animal Shelter of Massachusetts' care for unspecified reasons. He is a happy little pup who is happiest when with his humans. He would be even happier if YOU were his number one human. I think you would be happier too!

"Clover 13 lbs and friendly with all! He has been great meeting other dogs and excellent with humans. We suspect he can fit into homes with people of all ages." - Scituate Animal Shelter / Petfinder

    More Information On Clover

Clover is a male Shih Tzu mix pup who is estimated to be between 5 and 8 years old. This pup is a small boy, weighing approximately 13 pounds. He has a curly coat length which is white, cream, and tan in color. Clover is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. He is also house-trained.

According to the Scituate Animal Shelter, Clover is affectionate, kind, and an overall good boy. He LOVES humans and would be happiest if he could be with them at all times. Since he has some separation anxiety and barks when anxious, it is not recommended he live in an apartment. In addition to loving humans, he has also been great when meeting other dogs.

Clover does have some medical issues that any new family should be aware of. He has a heart murmur and was unfortunately diagnosed with stage B2 moderate degenerative valve disease (heart disease). For this reason, Clover will need to be on long-term heart medication and may require additional medication and treatment as the disease progresses. Scituate Animal Shelter recommends Clover have regular echocardiograms with a veterinary cardiologist. Any adopters should have a close relationship with their regular veterinarian.

"Now freshly groomed, the photos posted don't do it justice on how cute he truly is!" - Scituate Animal Shelter / Petfinder

    How Can You Help Clover?

If you are interested in adopting Clover, please visit the Scituate Animal Shelter's adoption page, which can be found here.

Another huge thing you can do to help is consider fostering! There are never enough fosters to meet the demands of all the pups in need. More information on fostering with Scituate Animal Shelter can be found in the fostering section of their official website.

If you cannot adopt or foster, an easy way to help is to share this article or Clover's Petfinder profiles: www.petfinder.com/dog/clover-72886548/ma/scituate/scituate-animal-shelter-ma85/
