    Eastern CT: Lisbon woman killed in Griswold crash

    GRISWOLD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police are investigating a deadly Thursday crash in Griswold.

    Police say a 2017 BMW X5 was driving on Main Street when it left its lane, crossed over to the other side of the street, struck a DOT street sign, a walking pedestrian, the U.S. Post Office building, and another car around 3:44 p.m. Thursday.

    Police say the pedestrian, Bernice LaRochelle, 78, of Lisbon, was killed at the scene.

    The driver of the BMW, Ean King, 36, was taken to Backus Hospital in Norwich for an evaluation.
