Family of NC man calling for arrest of man who shot him

The family of a man of a North Carolina man who is said to be still fighting for his life after being shot by a neighbor is seeking justice and an arrest to be made. On Aug. 22nd, 23 year old Jadyn McNeil was shot multiple times at the house across the street from his.

His neighbor 72 year old William Griffin fired through the door hitting McNeil. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has yet to arrest Griffin for the shooting. Now the McNeil family has hired civil rights lawyers Harry Daniels and Carnell Johnson to advocate for them.

McNeil's father says he arrived at the same time as the Sheriff's Office and saw Griffin waving two guns and his son bleeding from gunshot wounds.

There's dispute in regard to why McNeil was at his neighbor's home. A release from the Sheriff's Office casted McNeil as a potential burglar, his family say he was going over visit the elderly man to invite him to church.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has not responded to a request for comment on this story, as of this time.
