    Teenage Star

Instilled with the importance of hard work and faith during challenging times by her mother, Meagan, who has been acting since 1994 when she was 13, was asked by People magazine how being a star since adolescence has shaped her values and approach to life and work.

Meagan, with a current net worth of $5 million, was on the red carpet, giving an interview for her role in Tyler Perry’s “Divorce in the Black.”

“Whoever got it, we all bring it home. We all take care of each other,” Good told People. “Whatever it may be, but we’ve all contributed in our own ways.”

Meagan had a featured role on the children’s sitcom “Cousin Skeeter” (1998 to 2001) on Nickelodeon, and she also played a supporting role alongside Samuel L. Jackson in the 1997 film “Eve’s Bayou.”

Her older sister La’Myia was in an R&B group called Isyss (2001–2006) but soon transitioned to acting in sitcoms like her sister, with credits in “Sister, Sister,” “Smart Guy,” “The Parkers,” and “Judging Amy.”

In addition to the Good sisters, Meagan told People she has a brother with special needs who participates in the Special Olympics and acts as well, and two siblings from her mother’s remarriage, including a stepbrother and a little sister.

Meagan, who did not explain how much she contributed financially to her childhood home, recently revealed that it has been a struggle to earn money in Hollywood. She mentioned that her role in Perry’s movie was notably her first role that paid her well in her 30 years of acting, according to NBC.

During an interview with Shannon Sharpe on “Club Shay Shay,” the actress said, “Tyler Perry’s the first person who paid me what I should get paid.” according to her, he told her to name her price — something she was unprepared to even do.

“He said, ‘How much you want?’ I said, ‘Let me let me talk to my team, you know, really quick,’ and he said, ‘Just tell me what you want,’” she recalled .

Outside of acting, including her latest sitcom, “Harlem,” Meagan is a speaker at events, with her speaking fees being between $40,000 to $79,000, according to Celebrity Talent.
