Suspect held in New Haven cannister drama

A suspect is in custody in New Haven in connection with a scare on Friday that began with the discovery of several cannisters on the 200 block of Orange Street.
That prompted police to cordon off the area and call in their bomb squad.
A robot was used to snap an X-ray of the cannisters, which were then deemed by police to be harmless.
When the drama ended, police announced that they had detained a person seen earlier in the day removing three cannisters from a backpack.
