Chiefs' Trent McDuffie Named Top 10 Cornerback

The Kansas City Chiefs traded L'Jarius Sneed to the Tennessee Titans back in March, so the team will need someone to step up in his absence.

In a recent article by Pro Football Network , they rank who they believe are the top 32 cornerbacks in the NFL, and at No, they have young Chiefs corner Trent McDuffie.

"The Chiefs have always been known for their offense in the Patrick Mahomes era, but they now have a shutdown corner in their secondary," PFN writes. "That will be valuable when they play some of the NFL’s best teams and receivers as they go for a three-peat."

Funnily enough, McDuffie sits one spot higher than Sneed on the list, as PFN thinks that he can step up and be even better this season.

McDuffie finished this past season with an impressive 80 total tackles for a corner, 60 of them being solo. He was also able to get three sacks and force five fumbles, therefore showing his versatility.

If the young corner can step up and help fill the hole left behind by Sneed's departure, then he could put the Chiefs' defense in great position to have a lot of success this season.
