There Was 'No Way' Josh Jacobs Was Going To Play For One NFL Team

The Raiders and Josh Jacobs parted ways in the 2024 NFL free agency period after the team did not offer Jacobs what he believes he's worth.

Jacobs has since signed with the Green Bay Packers and will make his debut against the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday, Sep. 6, in Brazil.

During his free agency period, Jacobs was targeted by multiple teams, including an AFC West rival, the Kansas City Chiefs. He explained why he didn't take the Chiefs' offer to Dan Pompei of The Athletic .

“They were trying to get me hard,” Jacobs told Pompei. “But there was no way I was going there. I feel like once you are rivals with somebody, you have a genuine hate for them. I couldn’t see myself in that color. And besides, I never wanted to be the guy that joined the dominant team. I want to be the guy that beats the dominant team."

It's funny even after the Raiders refused to pay Jacobs more money, he still has the loyalty to not sign with the Chiefs and highly increase his chances of winning a Super Bowl ring.

Now after refusing to join the "dominant team" Jacobs will be playing an instrumental role in the ascension of the new look Packers, especially with A.J. Dillon out for season.
