there is also the sailor's superstitious myth that once a boat is named it CANNOT BE CHANGED lest you incur the anger of the gods of water, Poseidon or Neptune because your trying to "hide" the boat in an effort to escape from them Lynch was the THIRD OWNER of the boat with its third name, and he basically bought it as a "used boat right off the lot as is" he actually had absolutely NOTHING TO DO with the design of it as the third owner it already had the tallest sailing mast in the world with the sunken rear lounge and forward lounge and the sliding glass door BELOW THE MAIN DECK with a staircase on each side but three owners, two name changes and three names? put all these together and what are the probabilities that a boat of this half-assed design would be in EXACTLY THE WRONG PLACE AT EXACTLY THE WRONG TIME with the PERFECT STORM arriving at exactly that spot in the Ocean
