Ina Garten Reveals 'Be My Guest' Season 5 Celebrities & Talks Growing Up in Stamford, Connecticut

Great news! It was just announced that ''Be My Guest with Ina Garten'' will return this Fall. The native New Yorker, who spent most of her childhood in Stamford, Connecticut is back with the Season 5 of the Food Network cooking series ''Be My Guest with Ina Garten'' on Sunday, September 29th at 12 pm ET.

You know no one turns down an invitation with Ina. She will be back in her kitchen with some very exciting guests. “I love having friends come spend the day with me when we have time to talk and cook together – we have a very good time. Hope you can join us!” said Garten'' as stated in a media press release.

Here are some of the celebrities who will appear on the new season of the popular series; celebrity chef & restaurateur Bobby Flay, talk show host & comedian Stephen Colbert and his wife, producer Evie McGee Colbert, award-winning actor Julia Louis-Dreyfus, actor and producer Wendell Pierce, chef and world-class restaurateur Eric Ripert and bestselling novelist Ann Patchett.

Ina Garten spent most of her early years living in Stamford, Connecticut, with her parents. Her mother, who was a dietician would do all the cooking and put together the family's meals. Ina was never allowed to cook and her mother controlled the menu.

Talking about her upbringing in a 2017 podcast interview with Katie Couric "She wouldn't let me cook… [My work] is the ultimate rebellion," Garten joked on the podcast,'' as stated on Eating Well. She continues "My mother was obsessive about food," Garten told Couric. "So we weren't allowed any carbs, we weren't allowed any butter. We had margarine."
