Rod Stewart Finally Addresses Rumors About His Marriage Being On The Rocks

The Hollywood rumor mill seems to be churning even when it should be resting. Tired of hearing about his troubled marriage, Rod Stewart told the world his passion is still for his wife, Penny Lancaster.

Rod and Penny married in 2007 and welcomed two sons. Despite what others like to think, their marriage is solid and happy. He took to Instagram to share a message with fans and foes alike. He said there is no “rift” between him and his wife, but he gave insight into their life.

“We moved permanently back to our beloved Britain a year ago but are fortunate to also have homes in different countries, which we love to visit. Originally, we did think it made sense to sell our house in L.A., but having spent a wonderful time there this summer with family and friends during my Vegas residency, we realized that it makes sense to keep our house there,” Rod wrote.

Penny and Rod Stewart Have Had A Long & Happy Marriage

Rod, 79, and Penny, 53, met in 1999 when Rod was separated from his second wife, Rachel Hunter.

“Penny and I could not be more in love with each other after 27 glorious years. Please trust me on this… there’s no disharmony in our marriage.”

He signed the note “Rod ‘a very lucky man’ Stweart.”

Fans loved it and shared their frustration with Sir Rod.

“Very sad when you have to put out statements like this because of intrusive media speculation. Glad you’re both very happy and in love,” a fan wrote.
