Firefighter Juan, an EMT, is already taking steps toward becoming a paramedic, while Firefighter Londyn has recently completed paramedic school and is preparing to take the national certification test. Their expertise was put to the test recently during what began as a routine smoke investigation at River Park.

What initially seemed like a minor call quickly escalated when the team discovered a tree fire that had spread to approximately 20x20 feet of dried vegetation and fallen trees along the Eagle Scout trail. Thanks to their quick thinking and swift action, Juan and Londyn contained the fire within minutes. With the help of additional crews, the fire was fully extinguished in under 10 minutes, followed by a thorough 45-minute effort to ensure every hot spot was eliminated.

“We’re incredibly proud to have such skilled and dedicated individuals like Juan and Londyn on our team,” said a Lebanon Fire District spokesperson. “Their quick response and effective teamwork are exactly what keeps our community safe.”

As these two firefighters continue to grow in their careers, Lebanon residents can feel confident knowing they are in capable hands. Juan and Londyn exemplify the professionalism and commitment that the Lebanon Fire District is known for, and their recent success is just the beginning.
