CORVALLIS, Ore. – Excitement is building as construction continues to progress at Fire Station 2 in Corvallis. The project, which has been in the works for several months, is moving closer to completion, with the fire department hoping to return to the newly renovated station around the first of the year.

Recent updates include exterior painting, preparations for paving, and the installation of a photovoltaic (PV) array on the roof, which will help power the station with clean energy. Inside, the station is nearly ready for the installation of flooring, cabinets, and counters. The new apparatus bay and workout room have been fully insulated, sheetrocked, and are now prepped for painting.

One of the standout features of the renovation is the new drivable plaza in front of the station. This addition will allow firefighters to back their apparatus into the station without blocking traffic on 35th Street, improving both efficiency and safety.

“We’re incredibly excited about the progress being made at Fire Station 2,” said a Corvallis Fire Department spokesperson. “This project is a significant upgrade for our team, and we’re looking forward to being back home in the new year.”

The renovation of Fire Station 2 is a testament to the department's commitment to excellence and service. The improved facilities will enhance the firefighters' ability to train, respond, and serve the Corvallis community effectively.
