Falcons soar past Marine boys for non-conference win

MARINETTE — Two goals from Hunter Schneider wasn’t enough to lift the Marinette High School boys soccer team over Sheboygan Falls, as the Falcons edged the Marines 4-2 in non-conference play on Thursday.

Schneider’s two goals give the Marine junior six through two games, but Sheboygan Falls kept the other Marines underwraps, while the Falcons’ offense poured in three goals in the second half to turn what was a 1-1 affair at halftime into a two-goal victory.

Brennan Higgins had two of the Falcons second-half goals while Harrison Anderson added the other.

Thursday’s loss drops the Marines to 1-1 on the year.
