The Shriners in Crenshaw County have worked diligently for years to continue the iconic peanut boil. Their efforts show community involvement, pride in what they do and their concern for others. The Labor Day event is the perfect opportunity for the Crenshaw County Chamber, The City to work together and have the event of the year. Seemingly the president of the Chamber and others can’t or won’t involve themselves in something they aren’t the center of attention. Several years ago the Chamber attempted to take over the Peanut Boil but they didn’t succeed. If they had it would not be continued today as they don’t stay focused and work hard to have events.. Typically they take the ideas of others and once they get notoriety they stop having them. The chamber does absolutely nothing for the businesses in Luverne the few that are there. It’s a poor excuse for a Chamber. The Shriners are the backbone of Crenshaw County . They do a magnificent job! Thank you
