Bryce Harper Names Best College Football Team in the Nation

MLB superstar Bryce Harper isn't just a baseball aficionado. He is also a big college football fan, he said while mic'd up on Sunday Night Baseball.

The Philadelphia Phillies outfielder talked about his love for the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs and head coach Kirby Smart during his game against the Atlanta Braves. He thinks the Dawgs are worth the AP No. 1 ranking following their dominant 34-3 win over Clemson in Saturday's season opener.

Harper, a two-time NL MVP and eight-time All-Star selection, also loves what Lane Kiffin is doing for No. 6 Ole Miss. The Rebels had no issue with Furman on Saturday, cruising to a 76-0 win to open the season.

"I love Lane Kiffin down at Ole Miss too…," Kiffin said. "I think Lane Kiffin is one of my favorites. He’s definitely top-three coaches in college football for me… just how he approaches it. All of his guys love him, they play hard for him, and he’s just a lot of fun."

Harper is a Nevada native, but it seems like his college football affinity resides in the South and the SEC. Georgia and Ole Miss fans, who will meet on Nov. 9 in Oxford, are likely happy with Harper's take here but may have a hold up considering he is playing against Braves.
