I own apartments in Madison and the problem is the city government is charging way too much for property taxes. My taxes have gone up substantially every single year for the last 5 years. blame of the mayor and the referendums that she is attempting to make all tenants pay. The landlord will not lose money.

how many people have had pay increases equivalent to the rise of inflation? essentially our dollar is worth less, so it doesnt go as far as before. so if your pay did not or has not chanhed, you are being paid less for the same amount of work.
