The truck has the words Tar Heels on the outside, Carolina Blue seats, and the North Carolina logo on the headrests.

In addition, there are light blue touches on the wheels and his ‘Eighty Five’ number on the back of the vehicle.

Ebron, who played for North Carolina from 2011-13, proudly posted a picture of his new car on Instagram.

“Sometimes You Gotta…” he captioned his social media post.

Many college football fans were blown away by the incredible addition to his car collection.

“The Dark Knight,” one fan said.

“Omg you went Craaazzyyy,” another fan said.

“That’s tough there Eric!” a third fan noted.

After starring for North Carolina, Ebron was selected by the Detroit Lions as the No. 10 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

He moved to the Indianapolis Colts in 2018 before finishing his career at the Pittsburgh Steelers .

A Pro Bowl selection in 2018, Ebron made $37 million during his career.

A father of three, Ebron is now a keen golfer.

Meanwhile, North Carolina showed that life after quarterback Drake Maye looks bright with their opening-week victory over Minnesota.

And the Tar Heels overcame new quarterback Max Johnson being taken to hospital after he was forced out with a leg injury in the third quarter.

The son of former NFL quarterback Brad Johnson was hurt when his leg bent awkwardly while being tackled by Justin Walley.

“He was really in pain. We were just trying to pick him up,” Tar Heels head coach Mack Brown told the Associated Press .

“He was just in a little bit of shock and trying to figure it all out.”

Johnson was replaced by Conner Harrell with the Gophers leading 14-10.

Brown said he told Harrell after the injury: “You’re really, really good, – go win the game.”

And North Carolina went on to win 19-17 thanks in large part to Noah Burnette’s four field goals.

“A little jitters but the defense was playing really well,” Harrell said.

Minnesota kicker Dragan Kesich missed a 47-yard game-winning field goal attempt as time expired at Huntington Bank Stadium.

But in an embarrassing blunder , fireworks were set off at the facility as the ball sailed past the uprights.
